These two foxy ladies from Fountain Lakes hit Aussie screens 15 years ago, pour the Baileys and get ready to reminisce.
Kath and Kim are two of the foxiest women that have ever graced Aussie television.
It’s been 15 years since we’ve seen Kath Day-Knight and Kim Craig on our screens and the legacy they left behind, changed our lives.
The satirical situation comedy series was created by Jane Turner and Gina Riley, who played Kath and Kim and it’s still as funny now as it was when it hit our TVs in 2002.
Time to crack open the Baileys and reminisce with our favourite ladies from Fountain Lakes.
1 - “It’s noice, it’s different, it’s unusual.” - Kim
Probably one of the most iconic phrases to come out of the show and one we still use. A lot.
2 - "Look at moy! Kimmy look at mooyyy." - Kath
Yup, we've yelled this one plenty of times.
3 - “Everyone’s so self-obsessed. Am I the only person around here thinking about me?” – Kim
Kim loved herself sick and her life is what we would now refer to as full of first world problems.
4 - “I like to keep myself trim Kim. Does it make me a crim to keep myself trim?” - Kath
Kim was not impressed to find out her mum had turned her old bedroom into a gym, but Kath wasn't fussed because she just wanted to keep her foxy bod in shape.
5 - “Alright then, chardonnay, chardonnay, you pack of chunts.” – Kim
Pronunciation is key.
6 - “Better get cracking on some of those important projects of mine.” – Kath
Kath was thrown where her husband Kel decided to be a domestic goddess. She was left to with lots of important things to do, like peeling the stickers off apples.
7 - “Men are from Mars and women are from Venus” – Kath
“Yeah and you’re talking from your anus!” Kim
The mother-daughter rows and name calling was pure gold.
8 - “If it’s not Dotti or Witchery, don’t talk to me!” - Kim
If there's one thing 'hornbag' Kim knew it was style and she wouldn't let anyone convince her otherwise.
9 - “You’re not a freckle, you’re a mole” - Kel
They loved calling people moles and even Kel cracked it during a heated argument and used the Aussie insult.
10 - “This calls for BBQ Shapes and a bottle of Baileys!"
Oh Sharon, this is definitely one of our favourite quotes and pretty much defines a bogan celebration!
